Good afternoon everyone!
I hope you all are doing well on this beautiful spring day! We are joyfully journeying through Lent with our students through prayer, reading, projects, and more! Parents -- here are some great questions to review with your children! (Some are easier than others, of course, depending on age and grade level!)
As you may know, spring break is just around the corner! If you are looking for ideas for a "stay-cation", feel free to check out local shrines and events in our Diocese! The diocese website is www.gbdioc.org. If you are going out of town, a great resource is www.masstimes.org to find a Mass wherever you may be! Any vacation can turn into a pilgrimage or retreat if we keep our eyes on Jesus! Have a wonderful week and end of 3rd quarter! (wow! went so fast!) Sincerely, -Miss Corrie #TuesdayswithMissCorrie Good afternoon everyone!
Today is the Solemnity of St. Joseph! In Extended 4k today we visited Church to pray and we made paper lilies in honor of his feast day! Solemnities, even during Lent, allow us to break our fast in order to feast! :) Good afternoon everyone!
I type this while my extended 4k students are resting! (Lucky ducks!) Since it is Lent, I am having both extended 4k and 3rd grade religion class work on coloring their own Stations of the Cross prayer booklets. They will be able to bring these home soon too! It is wonderful that they are able to reflect and learn about Jesus' suffering, death, and resurrection here at school - but it is even better when they are doing that at home with family too! The 3rd graders are more familiar with the Stations since they pray it with the rest of school but the 4k students are just learning! It is wonderful to hear their questions and excitement to learn more about the Catholic faith! :) Hope you are doing well! God bless your week! -Miss Corrie #TuesdayswithMissCorrie Happy Friday everyone!
In case you are looking for a new opportunity for prayer for your family, make sure to check out the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help! They have some excellent events coming up including a Healing Mass/Prayer, Stations of the Cross, Presentations, and a Retreat Day. Here is the link to their schedule: click HERE! See the image above? That comes from the Apparition Oratory in the lower level of this shrine. This place has meant a lot to me over the years - a place of prayer, healing, and comfort. I hope you and your family can check it out sometime! .... (It is also not far from Lambeau field ;) - that would be a fun day!) Mother Mary is always watching over us and praying for us, helping us become closer to Jesus! Have a wonderful weekend! -Miss Corrie "Friendship is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others." ~CS Lewis Student: Can I get a picture with Mary? Me: Of course! Good afternoon!
Welcome to Lent, everyone! Can you believe Ash Wednesday was last week already? A memorable one too with a surprise early dismissal because of the snow! In Extended 4k we are learning about Lent and trusting in Jesus. The goal for the 4k friends is to remember how to spell "Lent", how many days are in Lent, and for what Lent is preparing us (Jesus' resurrection! Easter!). In 3rd grade Religion class we are also learning about Lent. We are working on a group project and making a Lent commercial! I am excited to see their creativity! If you have any questions or comments. Feel free to email me at [email protected]! Have a blessed night! -Miss Corrie #TuesdayswithMissCorrie |
