Good afternoon everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful spring break! :) I know we did! Now that it is April we are preparing for Easter! Holy Week is next week already so we are finishing up our Lenten discussions and preparing for the most sacred and wonderful time of the year! I highly recommend going to all the Easter Triduum services as a family. Holy Thursday Mass is the commemoration of the Last Supper. Good Friday is the memorial of Jesus' suffering and death, and Holy Saturday evening/Easter Sunday is the celebration of new life and Jesus rising from the dead! My favorite part of the Easter Triduum is the Easter Vigil that occurs on the night before Easter. It is a very sensory experience! There are four main parts to it: light, water, word (Scripture), and Eucharist. It begins with darkness in the church and a fire that is lit. Then eventually it gets lighter and lighter! This holy night includes many people all over the world receiving the Sacraments for the first time and coming into the church! It's the best! Just a reminder that there is no extended 4k or after care next week Thursday April 13th, Holy Thursday. There is also no school on Easter Monday, April 17th, except for 4k students (no extended 4k). Also, next week Monday, April 10th at 2:15pm we have our last Stations of the Cross as a school. This time around our extended 4k students are able to join us! If you can, please come pray with us! Have a great week! -Miss Corrie #TuesdayswithMissCorrie
